Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria
Il Buco the classic go to on Bond St. opened another great spot around the corner on Great Jones St. earlier this fall. The cheese selection at the deli counter is fantastic – at the deli you can grab a take away sandwiches and espresso… or if you want something more formal there is a...
Celestino – Bed-Stuy
From the guys behind the amazingly good (and cozy) Saraghina restaurant in Bed-Stuy comes a second in the up and coming hood that will focus more on seafood as opposed to authentic pizza. The lure for us is the simple yet tasteful use of nautical decor to create a seafaring theme. Photos and more details...
PUBLIC – Chicago Hotel
Just another great Ian Schrager makeover. This time in the old Ambassador East Hotel in Chicago. As seen in gblog – “the décor has been changed into a mixture of austere lighting and dark interiors”. Chic!

The Iron Horse – Wisconsin

The Dutch
Just lunched at this great place in SOHO and couldn’t help but woo over the decor. The lights and furniture, in particular. The Dutch is a great modern rustic stop while strolling the streets of SOHO.

Pizza East
Located in Shoreditch, Pizza East is always a go-to stop for us when in London for shopping trips. The interiors are rustic and beautiful, the lighting is fantastic and the scene is always cozy but lively. And of course there is the food…perfection. Obviously no surprise that the Soho House Group knows what they are doing....

Who better to shake things up than the house of Maison Martin Margiela. Although the fearless leader has since left the brand, this hotel seems pretty MMM. Head to Paris to stay at La Maison des Centraliens all starting at the low price of about 200€.

Tiled Bars and Restaurants
Our latest obsession has been tile. Tile in the bathroom, tile in the kitchen, tile in our local hangouts. Here are some great uses of tile.
